Slava UA has partnered with the Ukrainian Family Foundation.
An art therapy and psychological support center for Ukrainian children.
On June 1, 2022, International Children’s Day, the “Slava UA” team visited the opening of an art therapy and psychological support center in the de-occupied city of Bucha in the Kyiv region.
The creative space began its activities with an exhibition by Anna Mishchenko, an 8th-grade student who tragically lost her life on March 5, 2022, along with her mother during the evacuation from an occupied city. Russian soldiers mercilessly shot at civilian cars, causing immense suffering and loss. Anna was a gifted girl, but the so-called “Russian peace” destroyed her life and the lives of thousands of Ukrainian children.
Many children have suffered psychological trauma from witnessing armed soldiers, hearing gunshots and explosions, and hiding in basements or bomb shelters. The impact of such violence on innocent civilians is immeasurable and devastating.
The specialists at the art therapy center offer psychological support, creative activities, motor skills development, and opportunities for communication between children. The Charitable Foundation “Slava Ua” is a project partner and signed a memorandum of cooperation with the International Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Family” during the event.
